The official first day was fall was September 22nd; and with just being only a few weeks into the season it really feels like autumn.  Is it just me or does it seem like the seasons just sneak up on us?  One minute we are celebrating the 4th of July and before we know it there is Halloween candy on the shelves in stores. The average first freeze is October 7th (just a few days away) and the average first day of snowfall in the area is October 19th (although we received one last night).   Fall is a beautiful time of year all across American and Boulder, Colorado is no exception…the crisp cool weather, the leaves blowing in the breeze- together formulating a picturesque experience.

The color changes in the scenery are beautiful and makes for an exceptional backdrop for a drive or stroll around the area.  Check out our scenic drive page our website- it will really let you enjoy the autumn colors!
