For those of us who live in Boulder, Colorado – we consider ourselves lucky.  After all it has so much to offer to both residents and visitors alike.  I must say that one of my favorite non recreational activities to do in Boulder is spending some time on Pearl Street Mall.  It is definitely one of the popular attractions amongst our guests as well.

Our hotel is located just minutes from Pearl Street, so a walk to the famous pedestrian mall- is a great way to spend a morning, afternoon or evening. Guests can browse both chain and independent stores alike.  Peruse clothing, art, home furniture and goods, kids items, recreational items and more.  A must stop shop is Into the Wind- a fantastic kite store- A favorite for adults and kids alike.   Also be sure to stop in Peppercorn, it is an outstanding kitchen store where you could find just about anything you could want and more.

Hungry? With a wide variety of restaurants, visitors of Peal Street have the opportunity to satisfy their cravings with just about any type of cuisine they can think of.   For breakfast try Snooze. It is a little off the mall, but still located on Pearl Street and totally worth the walk.  My personal favorite is their eggs Benedict, but they also have a killer breakfast burrito and a more unique selection would be their breakfast tacos.

For lunch you can’t go wrong with the Boulder Café.  It features a great patio right on the mall, which makes great for people watching. Their fondue cannot be beat- absolutely delicious!   (Also a good spot for happy hour!)

Try out either Pasta Jays, great for dinner and definitely family friendly.  This Italian restaurant has a patio on the mall, but a cozy inside will also suite you well.  Jax Fish House is an option for seafood lovers serving great oysters and peel and eat shrimp.  A yummy “adult” beverage is their strawberry lemonade.  For a romantic dinner or on a date night choose L’Altier serving continental cuisine and fine dining at its best.

Street Performers are a part of Pearl Street that can be enjoyed on the weekends when weather permits.  Balloon makers, musicians, contortionists, magicians and more are there for your entertainment.

Are you sold on making Pearl Street a stop when in Boulder yet?
