We have wrote previous blogs on summer in Boulder Colorado and fall in Boulder, Colorado- accordingly we see it only fit to do a blog entry on Winter in Boulder, Colorado (with a little Holiday focus given the timing…). Boulder’s picturesque Flarions really make a beautiful winter backdrop- although I find them breathtaking all year long- there is just something I love about them snow covered. They create the perfect scenic setting for the winter season. The holiday lights and décor are absolutely beautiful throughout Boulder; the City does a fantastic job of decorating for the holidays. However, even nmore than the beautiful scenery and festive lights Boulder has a plethora of winter activities. Some of our favorites: Holiday Shopping- stroll Pearl Street or the 29th Street Mall- both great settings to take care of all your holiday shopping. (Technically it doesn’t need to be for the holiday- shopping and dining at either of these places is great all year round!) Ice Skating-Enjoy The Ice Rink at One Boulder Plaza, this winter tradition with a perfect quaint setting- Skaters with their knit hats and scarves laughing, smiling and relishing a great time on the ice. Skiing- Eldora Mountain Resort (only 20 miles away) for some great skiing. (tip…check out our package http://www.qualityinnboulder.com/packages-deals) St. Nick on the Bricks- Saturday’s through December 22 from 11am-2pm at 13th & Pearl. It’s a great place to see Santa and partake in some holiday cheer!
